Sevilla Apartments….lame.

Water heater broke Christmas Eve night, Friday. The office was closed so roommate called the emergency number. No one answered her numerous calls nor where any of her messages ever returned all weekend.

Today, Monday, she went to the office this morning and was told a guy would be out today but no time frame was given.

Went back to the office 3hrs later and was told he guy is busy cleaning up trash and would get to us if he has time, he leaves at 4. The office lady still gave no time frame for when the guy might be here. So apparently cleaning up the dumpster areas is more important than having hot water for showers and cleaning dishes. If it is broken they have to get a new one and that could take days…

Sevilla Apartments…you just made my list. Its not a good place to be.

ha…and I didnt even write about my experience doing laundry here. Now that is a story. It was the first and last time I will ever do laundry here…

 

 

***Update: Super amazing maintenance guy came and fixed the water heater. He is the nicest person working for the complex and the hardest working.  He deserves more out of life. I wish him well.

I have extreme dislike for tmobile.

I spent 30mins trying to make a payment online with them last night but kept getting error messages. I always pay online. Finally I call them and spend the next 7 mins pushing buttons to make a payment with the automated system. Well, after entering all my info the computer decides I am not worthy of paying with the automated system and that obviously I need a representitives help so tells me to wait on hold. So I sit on hold and finally someone answers the phone and 9 mins later my payment is processed. I even check to make sure everything is updated with my balance online, the only thing the website is capable of doing. Life is good.

Tmobile tricked me. I wake up this morning to a text message telling me I am paid up for another month then 2 mins later I get 2 texts telling me I am not. I switched to a prepaid plan since all I do it text. I dont know what is going on but I figure I will make a payment again then find out what is going on. So I figure I can make a payment while I am laying in bed still so I call and spend the next 7 mins entering information into the automated system to only be once again rejected. This time I opt not to wait on hold and I get out of bed and somehow make it to my computer and make a payment there.

I really hate tmobile at this point. I try to see how my balance went from being over paid to 14.00 less all while I was sleeping.

Tmobile tricks me again! They have an little clicky button that says I can view my bill and such but no no no…nothing loads. So now I have to call the automated system back and attempt to talk to a representative. But I am sure since talking to a representative is my goal the automated system wont see it that way.

I really hate Tmobile.

I wish the Tmobile company Gods best…whatever that may be. Though, I kinda hope it means their business going under but that is up to God. I wash my hands of it.

Back on track…

Life has been so wonderful lately. I am working 7 days a week and have class 4 days a week so free time isnt easy to come by. I will be having more free time in the next week or so once school is out. I am looking forward to hitting up zoo lights and finally going to see harry potter!!

Is my neighbor making meth?

I moved into a new apartment beginning of oct and my bathroom shares its vent with 7 other apartments. Everyday this toxic smell engulfs my bathroom and the rest of the apartment if I dont close the door. Its a super nasty chemical burning fumey type gas. I talked to the office and their solution was to put a new cover the the vent which did nothing. Their effort was rather comical but my health isnt funny. Since moving in I have suffered from a cronic runny nose. Seriously all day and all night. Also when I have to use the bathroom my eyes burn when I enter the fumes.

Most days the fumes make their way out from under the closed door and  fill my bedroom. I dont like smelling that nasty smell while I sleep. I also have developed a cough and sore throat. When I go to Tucson for a few days my symptoms disappear.

When the fumes are really bad I get dizzy when I stand up or move around the apartment.

I dont know what other steps I can take besides talking to the office again but I am not sure there is anything they can do but living here, with the fumes, is having a negative impact on my health.

Not a fan.

*As of the last 2 weeks the fumes have not been as prevelant as before but they still linger.

coke or sprite?

So I was working at the zoo this evening and I hand a guy, who requested coke, his coke and he drinks some and asks if its sprite. Umm…it is brown not clear. Plus as I handed it to him I said ‘Here is your coke…’. I dont see how there possibly could have been a misunderstanding.

I have been working for weeks straight between both jobs and school. Havent had a free day in almost 3 weeks. I am off on Sunday and am already planning on driving down to Casa Grande to meet a friend for lunch and a movie. Said movie being the only one worth seeing at the moment, Harry Potter! Well, that might be a lie. I am sure there are other movies playing but I havent had time to watch tv or peruse fandango or imdb recently so I have no idea what else is out.

I have recently met up with an old friend from Tucson who moved up here shortly after I did, just over a year ago. He broke up with his girl friend and realized he didnt really have his own friends up here. Sad. The same sense of awakening came over me 5-6yrs ago when I broke up with my first serious boy friend. I had no idea what I used to do with my time before I spent all my time with him. It was a very odd feeling that I didnt care much for.

So I am gonna invite him to go to game night on saturday with me. I am not interested in him, he is just a nice guy. Some dumb girl is gonna break him. He is the nice guy most girls are looking for but we are all too dumb to realize it. I know he is nice, I acknowledge that, but he is a tad young for me. lol. But at game night there will be tons of guys there his own age and a little older so he will have some friends. I am very excited about saturday.

Dear Rachel…

My dearest Rachel.

I fail to understand how you are still employed. I call you and tell you I have a change in my availability then I email you the changes, per your request….Yet you still manage to mess up my schedule. I dont see how only being available on Tuesdays and Thursdays is so complicated. Maybe it is an honest mistake, so I email you stating that I am scheduled when I am not available and you reply to an email I sent you over a month ago stating you need an email with my new availability.

Funny since in the email I sent you with my new availability I told you I was off veterans day too and you managed to get that memo but not the emails original intent. Perhaps the fact that there was a whole 3 sentences in the email was a tad overwhelming for you? I forward you the same email asking if this is what you need, to which you reply yes.

Then you send the schedule for next week and you apparently decided to disregard all of our previous discussions.

Rachel, I understand, by your attitude and facial expressions, that you have a general dislike for people but you have a job scheduling ‘people’ so you need to man up and fake it. Pretend you like people. Give it a shot. It is not that difficult.

So many updates…

1. Car broke a 2 weeks ago. Thought it was transmission or the clutch. Actual fix: 3.27 on a bottle of manual clutch fluid.

2. Told gamer guy I am not interested and he got the point but are still somewhat friends:)

3. Have to take 7 classes next semester to graduate.

4. Have a new neice, Madyson, born 10-14.

5. Got a job at the PHX Zoo a few months ago and start a new job at Trader Joes on Monday.

6. Still keeping Zoo job but cutting down my availability. I like going to the zoo for free, there is no way I would ever pay 18.00 to go

7. Started looking at job prospects for when I gradute.

8. My sisters brother, I havent had a brother for 3 or 4 yrs now but thats a seperate story, had his drivers license taken away a month ago. Now he has to ride a motorized bike 20+miles to work. Its about time God answered my prayers. he shouldnt be on the road risking peoples lives.

9. I have made so many life long friends in the last year!!

10. Still have not heard back from friend katie regarding her deciding if she wants to be friends with me since I told her I will continue to talk to people who dont share her religious beliefs. … Maybe she has made her decision and that is why I havent heard from her? lol

11. I am in a food rut!! any suggestions?

College hygiene..questionable practices?

I am at one of the computer common areas on campus trying to read a journal article on the impact of oil development on wildlife. Interesting, right? So I am sitting here on facebook of course, we will say it helps me focus on my homework, and the seat next to me opens up. A guy who is probably in his late 20s walks up to sit down. Lets just say I smelled him before he got here.

I am somewhat able to breathe as long as he doesn’t move and no one walks by creating a draft. Shower, deodorant or even a quick spray of Febreeze before you leave home?

Ew. Someone walked by just now. ick. Yay for college life.
